Lawmakers Are Set To Examine University “Governance” In DEI Ban

DEI has been banned under law at Texas universities since last year, but apparently not completely, as the left has found a loophole.

Basically, the left is able to keep their agenda going with what is called 'governance'.

"Many state universities in Texas practice something called 'shared governance' with faculty" said Robert Montoya, investigative reporter with Texas Scorecard, "What that means is that woke professors who are opposed to the values that Texans support and live by, have a say in how the universities are run. And there's no clear line of accountability for faculty members."

Which is why State Senator, Brandon Creighton is calling lawmakers to examine university governance during the upcoming Texas legislative session.

"The reality is, while there have been some positive changes made by a number of universities here in Texas, and laws have passed" Montoya told KTRH, "DEI is very much alive and well in these universities."

In the meantime, Montoya also notes that Texas Tech has gone above and beyond to not only follow the 'letter' of the law, but also the 'spirit' of the law, which is no DEI on campus.
