CNN now being cooked by Food Network in television ratings

CNN has been on a path to irrelevance for some time now, worsening their stance in the media industry over the last eight years. They pushed anti-Donald Trump, pro-Left agenda stories for eight years, and now, they have started seeing that people are simply tired of them. A fall in ratings and cash has forced them to lay off talent. Now, their ratings are getting grilled, almost literally, by the Food Network. More people recently tuned into Guy's Grocery Games than they did for Anderson Cooper 360.

That is right, the Food Network now has better ratings than CNN does, one of the biggest media conglomerates in the world. People would rather watch a baking show than watch Van Jones give his opinion in a panel or see the news of the day. They are simply tired of the agenda, tired of the politicking attacks, and tired of the way CNN operates as a whole.

Curtis Houk from the Media Research Center says CNN keeps serving the same, tired plate of food, and people are just not eating it anymore.

"The demand for their presentation of the news has evaporated," he says.

The ratings have especially taken a dip after the 2024 election. They have no more influence, and no real base to preach to anymore. Most have seen through the Left's facade, and gave the nation a clear mandate on November 5th.

The news is of course usually sad in a way, which makes people not want to watch. But even when it is interesting, the viewers are just tired of the presentation. They are sick of seeing the same panelists scream about Republicans being Fascists with no dissenting voice. More than that, they are tired of pompous presenters telling them what to think, when they are so out of touch with reality.

"People have busy lives and jobs...if they are not being fulfilled and fed in terms of their news diet...or feeling they are being truly educated, they are going to do something else," he says.

You would think that after the election, and seeing their have no real viewer base anymore, that CNN would change up the menu. But they have no shown any interest in doing that.

They have instead doubled down, going all in on the anti-Republican, Left-wing drum beat. Do not expect that to change anytime soon.

"The executives, particularly CNN boss Mark Thompson, have made clear ratings are not important...it is about the CNN brand and their social media views," he says.

Houk adds that they are even failing online with their website, because if they cannot get ratings on television, no one is going to read their website.
