A train collision in east Harris County derailed seven box cars.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office said two trains collided on Friday at Battlebell and Thompson Road. According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, one train rear-ended another causing the derailment of several box cars that were transporting plastic pellets.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported.
Deputies said the north side of the tracks will be shut down at Thompson Road and E. Wallisville. The south side of the tracks will also be closed at Dawkins and Thompson Road and at Spivey and Battlebell Road.
