President-elect Donald Trump continues his vow to secure the border, and there's one move that should have an immediate impact. It's the return of Trump's 'Remain in Mexico' policy.
"At high noon on January 20th right after the inauguration, right after the swearing in, they'll have that thing chambered and ready to pull the trigger" said outstanding border reporter,Todd Bensman, "It's been upheld all the way up to the U.S. Supreme Court so it's good to go, and it can't be sued again. And the American people are going to hear very shortly, all the time, about remain in Mexico. It's going to be in all the headlines."
The reason why? It works, unlike the wide-open border policy that we've seen under the Biden-Harris administration.
"It makes people stay in Mexico, instead of in the United States" Bensman told KTRH, "They have to stay in Mexico for the duration of their asylum claim. Nobody is coming for the great Mexican dream."
Trump's 'remain in Mexico' is expected to be implemented on day one, when Trump returns to the White House.
