Texas Gun Rights Groups Are Warning About Proposals In The Legislature

You're not hearing a lot about it, but lots of bills are already being filed in Austin, with lots of anti-gun legislation proposals from the left.

"We are on track for having the most gun control bills ever filed in the Texas legislature" said Chris McNutt, president of the group, Texas Gun Rights.

So far, nearly 100 anti-gun measures have been submitted, all by Texas Democrats.

"They keep coming back with trying to pass red-flag gun confiscation laws" McNutt told KTRH, "You can have your firearms stripped from you without due process."

Which is why TXGR is in the process of fighting back, by responding with pro-gun measures.

"Yes, absolutely" noted McNutt, "We're working with state representative, Briscoe Cain from the Houston area to ban, red-flag gun confiscation laws. That's House Bill 162, and that would pretty much neuter everything that the Cornyn-Biden compromise tried to do."

Other bills filed by the Dems include a ban on semi-automatic firearms, and ending 'open carry' in the state of Texas.
