Maybe Trump Should Abolish The DHS

One of president-elect Trump's many cabinet picks is South Dakota Governor, Kristi Noem to run the DHS. But not all conservatives are on board with it, including the senior editor of The Federalist who believes that the DHS should be abolished.

"It really has gotten out of control" said John Daniel Davidson, "It's not really about protecting us from terrorist attacks, they're really about surveilling and spying on, and censoring American citizens."

Which has all happened within agencies that fall under the DHS umbrella.

"Before DHS was created, we had a border patrol" Davidson told KTRH, "The tools that were developed to detect and interdict foreign terrorist attacks have now been turned on the American people to silence us, suppress our free speech and spy on us."

And if all of that is not bad enough, Kristi Noem may not be the best pick for the job.

"She's been on the wrong side of some really key issues that are important to Trump voters, like the 'trans' issue, like illegal immigration, there's better people to pick than Kristi Noem" noted Davidson.

In the meantime, Noem is expected to work under Trump's Border Czar, Tom Homan.
