The Election Is Over, But The Lawfare Isn't

Trump has won re-election, but that doesn't mean the legal battles are over. The President-elect still has cases pending, with Democratic Attorneys General targeting him. New York AG Letitia James says that she's prepared to "fight back" against Trump.

Attorney Gary Polland, publisher of The Texas Conservative Review, told KTRH that this is all just a dirty form of politics. He said, "Some on the left in this country are just interested in attacking President Trump, so he can't work on his agenda because he has to fend off all these attacks and rumors."

He thinks that this new pledge to go after Trump from Letitia James is all just part of her plan to win re-election as the New York Attorney General in 2026. He said, "She ran the first time saying that she's running to prosecute Trump. That's going to be the most important thing she can do."

Polland believes that Trump's sweeping landslide victory should have proven that this strategy will backfire on the Democrats. He said, "They [the American people] don't care about going after Trump; they don't think that disqualifies him from being president. If you look at the polling, every time there would be a new charge against him, his numbers would go up."
