Kamala Concedes, Promises Peaceful Transition Of Power With Trump Team

Vice President Kamala Harris addressed the nation Wednesday after being defeated by Donald Trump in the presidential race.

Harris spoke to supporters at Howard University where she hosted a campaign watch party Tuesday night. Attendees were told to leave the event late last night after it was announced that Harris would not address her supporters.

"My heart is full of gratitude for the trust you have placed in me, full of love for our country and full of resolve," Harris said.

She said she already called President-elect Trump to concede and promised a peaceful transfer of power.

"I congratulated him in his victory," VP Harris added. "I also told him that we will help him and his team with their transition."

President Joe Biden also called Trump to congratulate him on his victory.
