As the Houston homeless problem continues to grow, Houston mayor John Whitmire has a new plan. A new city sponsored 'homeless encampment'.
"It looks like taxpayers will be paying for it" said Charles Blain, president of Urban Reform, "To an area that's not necessarily as public, or in the way as some of the other places they're at."
Something has to be done, because as we reported here a few weeks ago, the Democrat 'Obama plan' from Washington, has failed.
"I think if you ask a lot of people, they'd argue that the approach that we've been on hasn't really worked" Blain told KTRH, "And so people might be ready for a different approach."
We still don't have all of the details, including the location of this new taxpayer funded encampment, but the mayor is expected to announce them soon.
