In multiple polling locations across Fort Bend County, dozens of campaign signs from at least three different candidates have been stolen or vandalized. The Fort Bend County District Attorney's Office says they are investigating.

As many as 30 signs were stolen from the Cinco Ranch Library in Katy.

This comes after a person was charged and fined $1,500 after he vandalized candidates' signs during the primary election earlier this year.

Some of the stolen and vandalized signs belonged to Fort Bend County Precinct 3 Commissioner Andy Meyers, who spoke out against the vandalism, saying, "We need to be bringing this community together, not dividing it for personal gain. I call right now for an end to these divisive tactics that are being used. This is unacceptable."

One of the destroyed signs featured a mugshot of Commissioner Meyers' opponent, Taral Patel, who is currently facing nine different criminal charges related to an online racism hoax that he allegedly organized in order to garner sympathy from voters.
