A man shot by police in Deer Park early Monday is one of two people taken to the hospital following a domestic disturbance.
The all started before 12:45am, when police got a call, and 911 operators heard a commotion in the background.
When officers got to the scene they saw a little girl running away from the apartment, followed by an unidentified man, believed to be the child’s stepfather, holding a gun.
Police told the man to put his gun down but e ignored their commands and was shot twice, once in the face, the other in the stomach.
Once inside the residence police found a woman shot in the stomach; she was taken to the hospital by Life Flight.
