Donald Trump and Ted Cruz get the headlines, but voters need to pay attention to the down-ballot races, too.
Texas Democrats think they can flip a few state House seats to fight against school choice. That has Texas Governor Greg Abbott playing defense, according to Rice University political scientist Mark Jones.
"He's trying to protect those Republicans and maybe even flip a few Democratic seats where those replacements would be pro-school choice Republicans," Jones said.
He also thinks the Democrats could be playing this all wrong.
"The school choice issue really doesn't resonate with voters in a Presidential election year," Jones stated, adding that while it was a big primary issue, right now, it's about the economy and border security.
