Afghan National Arrested North of Texas for Plotting Terror Attack

A terrorist living in Oklahoma arrested for planning a violent attack on election day. According to unsealed court documents on Tuesday 27-year-old Afghan National Nasir Ahmad Tawhedi was arrested Monday following an operation where Tawhedi met an undercover FBI agent in a rural part of Western Oklahoma to buy AK-47 rifles and enough ammunition to execute a violent attack in the U.S. in the name of ISIS.

Seized communications that were later confirmed by Tawhedi after his arrest show he was planning his attack on November 5th. Reports say Tawhedi also told authorities he planned to die a martyr, along with a juvenile, only listed as a co-conspirator.  Google records show he also search “How to access Washington DC cameras”.

In August, the suspected terrorist began to liquidate his assets, including property in Moore, OK, the families 2 cars, and other items.

Court documents also show Tawhedi entered the country through a special immigrant visa in September 2021, one month after the U.S. withdrew from Afghanistan.
