Demonstrators Are Protesting Against Indicted Fort Bend Co. Judge KP George

The trouble is not going away for indicted Fort Bend County Judge, KP George. As noted by our tv partner, KPRC 2, a large group of protestors gathered outside of the county courthouse, to let people know what's happening with what they are calling 'corruption' with local Democrats. George, like all Democrats, receives protective coverage here locally from the mainstream media.

George was indicted by a grand jury late last month on a Class-A misdemeanor charge of misrepresenting the identity of a candidate (his former Chief of Staff Taral Patel.

Meanwhile, according to KPRC 2, KP George’s attorney filed a motion to dismiss the indictment against him, after he was linked in connection to social media hoax allegations.

Patel was arrested back in June for a felony charge of online misrepresentation for his role in the social media hoax. During George’s successful re-election campaign in 2022, he claimed he was victimized by “racist and xenophobic” attacks. However, accusations claim George coordinated with Patel to make some of the targeted posts to gain sympathy and support.

The Texas Election Commission has authority over the case first and once that process is completed, then it can go to the Ft. Bend District Attorney’s office.

The Fort Bend County DA’s office shared the following statement with KPRC 2 earlier today:

“We are aware that the attorney for KP George has filed a motion claiming that his prosecution for the misdemeanor charge of Misrepresentation of Identity under the Texas Election Code is unconstitutional.

“We anticipated the filing, which is part of the normal legal process as the case progresses through the criminal justice system.

“The motion is based on a recent Texas Court of Criminal Appeals opinion that is not final and is still being appealed. The CCA opinion interprets a state statute to be controlling over the Texas Constitution which is contrary to long-established legal precedent.

“It’s important to note that the investigation into the allegations against KP George is still ongoing, and this filing does not change our position on the matter.”

This is a developing story.
