Get ready for a repeat of 2020. It's starting to look more and more like we could be waiting days, or maybe even weeks, to get results from the election. So, how long should you expect to wait on November Fifth?
Former Texas GOP Chairman Steve Munisteri told KTRH, "It's certainly conceivable that it could take a couple of days, and it's not outside the realm of possibility that it could take a few weeks, but hopefully not."
Munisteri says one of the biggest reasons for the delay is how close the margins are in the swing states. He said, "Any time you have a razor-thin margin, no matter what technology you use, it can prolong the results. If it's by a wide margin, it won't."
Munisteri said the timeline will probably look different in each of the swing states, and you can expect whichever candidate loses to file challenges.
