Gerald Goines Found Guilty Of Murder In The 2019 Harding Street Raid

After more than 5 years of waiting, former HPD narcotics officer Gerald Goines was found guilty of felony murder in the 2019 Harding Street raid, that resulted in the deaths of Dennis Tuttle, Rhogena Nicholas, and their dog.

As noted by our tv partner KPRC channel 2, before being taken to the back by officers, Goines attorney, George Secrest, got into a heated exchange with a baliff attempting to handcuff Goines after the verdict was read.

Prosecutors Tanisha Manning and Keaton Forcht argued that Goines’s falsification of information to secure a no-knock warrant led directly to the fatal raid. They presented evidence including phone records and testimonies to demonstrate that neither Goines nor a confidential informant purchased drugs from the Harding Street home prior to the raid.

Goines faces up to life in prison.
