An inmate who escaped from the Huntsville Unit Sunday morning has been caught.
The Texas Department of Criminal Justice said Jesus Villareal, 39, was taken into custody in Calallen, about 275 miles away from where he fled.
Villareal is serving a 63-year sentence on four counts of aggravated robbery and two counts of aggravated assault out of Cameron County. He now faces a felony escape charge.
