According to a poll from inside Venezuela, as many as 40 percent of all Venezuelans are considering leaving the country as soon as this month. Unfortunately, not all of these Venezuelans are just people seeking to escape communism.
Retired Homeland Security Agent Victor Avila told KTRH, "You do have the criminal element coming. Yes, you do have the ones who were emptied from the prisons. The Department of Homeland Security acknowledged it in a memo."
Avila says if these Venezuelans make it to the United States, it could cripple our already stressed school, prison, and hospital systems. He said, "We already have that burden. We already have that impact. Especially with that criminal element from Venezuela."
Avila says the only thing that could stop these Venezuelans from pouring over our southern border now would be an agreement between Mexico and the Biden administration.
