Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo once again lost her composure during a late-night Commissioners Court hearing. After nearly 12 hours in session, Hidalgo snapped at both Precinct 3 Commissioner Tom Ramsey and Precinct 2 Commissioner Adrian Garcia.
Hidalgo's office tried to downplay the incident, attributing it to her being tired and hungry. They added, "Judge Hidalgo will not tolerate a pattern of disrespect toward herself or others."
However, Hidalgo herself has shown disrespect in court before, even dropping an F-bomb while accusing Commissioner Garcia of being "wrapped around the little finger" of Harris County DA Kim Ogg during a hearing last June.
While Commissioner Garcia declined to comment on the incident, former County Judge Ed Emmett told television station KTRK, "This isn't the halls of high school. This is county government. It hurts the relationships, and so much of county government is built on being able to work together."
