One of the favorite talking points of the left, is 'toxic masculinity'. But there is a local Houston based life coach who is pushing back and says that men are not the bad guys.
"This whole conversation about toxic masculinity didn't sit well with me, because I don't believe there is such a thing" said Coach Michael Taylor, who is also a motivational speaker and author.
He has a brand new book out, titled: 'Stop Blaming Men For All The Problems'.
"I don't think men are the problem" Taylor told KTRH, "I think the problem is too many men are trapped in what I will call an antiquated paradigm of masculinity. Unfortunately, society never taught us how to connect."
Taylor believes that men need to learn how to 'connect' emotionally, and that there are only two things that will cause a man to want to change. Pain, and what he describes as "divine discontent".
Coach Taylor blames the media for choosing to focus on what's wrong, and the negativity. He also points out that a man who is connected to his authentic masculinity will never exhibit toxic behaviors.
