Beryl cleanup is still underway, and many still don't have power. But some Houstonians are already thinking about what comes next for their homes. Some homeowners have been able to begin filing claims, and more are on the way.
Laith Daik with Texas Loan Star told KTRH, "So at this point, I think we are just in that recovery stage, certainly people are making claims now, but we expect that number to increase greatly."
Daik says even if you don't have power, homeowners should start documenting any storm damage as soon as possible. He said, "That means taking pictures of all the damage that you see, whether it's trees down, or interior photos, exterior photos."
Daik says that he expects the number of claims made to be extremely high, thanks to Beryl's surprisingly large scope of damage.
