At least three people killed in Hurricane Beryl's wake

Hurricane Beryl has now become deadly in Houston.

Three people have been confirmed dead so far in the wake of Monday's storm. Two people, including a 73-year-old grandmother, were killed when trees fell into their homes. Another person, a Houston Police employee, was killed while travelling to work Monday morning. That person was pulled from a submerged car.

One man also died in a fire during the storm, but that has not been directly attributed to Hurricane Beryl.

City officials are asking the public to stay home, as crews get out to assess damage.
