Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo has been hit with a $500 ethics fine from the Texas Ethics Commission.
This is due to her endorsement of District Attorney candidate Sean Teare at a press conference, as he ran against current DA Kim Ogg in the primaries in March. That gathering used public funds.
During the event, Hidalgo repeatedly criticized Ogg. Since then, Ogg has pushed Hidalgo's big-rigging scandal to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, in an extension of the feud.
Ogg ended up losing in that primary to Teare.
