Yesterday, around 4:30 PM local time, the Manhattan jury in Donald Trump's Hush Money trial announced their verdict of guilty on all 34 felony counts against him for payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels. This is the first time in American history that a former President has ever been convicted of a crime.
Leaving the courtroom following the conviction, Trump said, “This was a rigged, disgraceful trial… We will fight for our Constitution. This is long from over.”
KTRH's Michael Berry tweeted his reaction to the verdict, saying, "Every single American knows this is wrong. Until Republicans punish Democrats, this only gets worse. We are not the same nation any longer. These people will not stop."
Kentucky Senator Rand Paul also took to Twitter, stating that it was a "sad day for America" and that this verdict will undermine Americans' confidence in impartial justice.
Trump's campaign says that yesterday after the verdict there was a record breaking small dollar donation donation boom that totaled $34.8 trillion. Donald Trump will speak again today from Trump Tower at 10:00 AM CST.
