Term Limits: Small Business Fears Four More Years of Biden

President Joe Biden's struggling reelection campaign just got another vote of no confidence from a key constituency. A new survey from Freedom Economy Index finds nearly half of American small business owners don't think their business can survive a second Joe Biden term. Specifically, the survey found nearly one quarter of respondents believe they will definitely go under if Biden wins, while another 26 percent say their business's financial viability would be unlikely to survive four more years.

The biggest economic concerns cited in the survey were inflation, stagflation, and energy costs. At the same time, costly regulations are also straining businesses. When asked what they would do if Biden wins a second term, the most common responses in the survey were to either shut down their business or sell to a larger competitor.

Two of those struggling business owners recently joined Fox News to share their stories of struggle under current policies. Katlyn Swaffer, who runs a bakery and deli in Oklahoma, said high prices are costing her dollars and customers. "In 2020 when we first opened we would pay around $15 a case for eggs, now it's upwards of $50 or sometimes even $100...for a case of eggs," she says. "A lot of our regular customers are no longer regular customers, or they're not buying their cakes from us anymore, because we have to charge more than the grocery store."

Maher Youssef is in a similar situation. He owns a coffee shop and cafe in Seattle, and says the cost of eggs and nearly everything he uses has exploded. That has forced him to raise prices, which hurts business. Youssef directly called out President Biden. "Biden should do something about it," he says. "We work like slaves, we make money that we give him (through taxes), and I don't know what he puts that money into."

"He's just collecting money for himself, and his family, and his cabinet, and we're all struggling," Youssef continues. "I don't know how we're gonna continue like that."
