America currently has quite a few benefits and handouts that illegal aliens can receive, and one of those handouts is citizenship. With the advent of the Biden Border Crisis, the flaws in our current system of birthright citizenship are beginning to shine through.
Former State Senator and president of the Huffines Liberty Foundation, Don Huffines, says that birthright citizenship has become a magnet for illegal aliens who use the system to have "anchor babies." Huffines says this is something we can fix with what he calls "Conditional Birthright Citizenship."
Huffines says, "If both parents are here illegally, the child does not have a vested interest in the United States because the parents don't. So the child would not be granted citizenship." He says this new rule is something that could be established legislatively or via executive order.
Huffines also says states could refuse to issue birth certificates to children whose parents have immigrated illegally into the United States.
