Conditions are so bad in Polk County after storms Sunday and Monday that evacuation orders have been given for parts of the county.
On Facebook, the County posted:
”POLK COUNTY MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDER FOR AREAS ALONG THE TRINITY RIVER AND BELOW THE LAKE LIVINGSTON DAM
APRIL 29, 2024 - EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY
County Judge Sydney Murphy has issued a MANDATORY EVACUATION ORDER for the unincorporated areas of the County along the Trinity River and below the Lake Livingston Dam. Please see the Order below for details.”
