Bird Flu in Grocery Milk

The Food and Drug Administration confirms one in five samples of grocery milk have tested positive for bird flu.

Texas Ag Commissioner Sid Miller says there is no threat to the public.

Pasteurization kills any virus in milk. Additionally, the milk from cows that test positive is discarded and not put into the chain of supply.

The USDA has detected bird flu in 33 dairy cattle across 8 states. Texas is one of them.
