Remote Work: a passing fad, here to stay or something in between?

Remote Work has proven to be durable - and the implications for the workplace are many. Some remote workers would be content to never return to the workplace, but companies are challenged to find ways to get their work done and maintain a workforce at the same time. Remote workers can often command higher salaries and improve their pay by switching jobs for more money.

Joshua Evans, Keynote Speaker, says that hybrid workplace may be the best way to compromise for companies that are challenged trying to get workers back in the office.

Evans suggests that while some remote workers can command higher salaries by switching jobs, their loyalty to any company may be "weak". And, while companies may be tempted to reduce the costs associated with providing employees office space in which they can work, the real cost to the company may be lost productivity and collaboration.
