Governor Abbott Sends Another Message To Biden Over The Border

Governor Greg Abbott sent another message to the administration over the Biden-border crisis.

Abbott posted an image of the Texas National Guard reinforcing border barriers, including razor wire, in El Paso, which has seen a number of migrant surges in recent weeks.

"Texas will exercise our sovereign authority to protect our southern border — and our nation — because President Biden refuses to enforce federal immigration laws" Abbott said.in the post, "Texas National Guard soldiers continue to reinforce border barriers in El Paso to deter and repel illegal crossings."

The wire has become a point of contention between Texas and the Biden administration. Texas sued the administration after federal officials cut the wire.

The Biden administration says that Texas’ actions interfere with federal enforcement, while Texas says it needs to act in the face of inaction over the border crisis from the federal government.

Meanwhile, Chuck Schumer and the Democrats in the Senate want to dismiss an impeachment trial for disgraced DHS Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas.

Texas Senator John Cornyn said in a statement, quote:

“The Majority Leader is expected to take the completely unprecedented step of voting to table the impeachment articles and eliminate a trial entirely, in violation of the Constitution.”

“This would be the first time in our nation's history that the Senate failed to do its duty to consider evidence, hear witnesses, and allow Senators to vote guilty or not guilty.”

“This would be a dangerous precedent to set.”
