This was not what the airline industry, and specifically Boeing, wanted to see heading into a holiday weekend.
A United Airlines flight headed for Florida returned to Bush Intercontinental Airport after a flight attendant saw that a cabin door was “slightly loose.”
The airline says that the plane plane turned around “out of an abundance of caution.” There were no injuries and all passengers were able to get on another plane.
The airline industry website FlightAware indicated that the plane was a Boeing 737-800. There have been multiple incidents involving issues with Boeing jets lately, including one where a plane door blew off mid-flight earlier this year.
There have also been multiple incidents involving United Airlijes flights and malfunctions as of late, including six since February 1st.
