American citizens stuck in Haiti in the midst of the current chaos and political turmoil wonder if and how they will be able to leave the country. The U.S. consulate evacuated non-essential personnel last weekend, with the intervention of the U.S. Marines. U.S. citizens were told "we are not coming for you". Florida U.S. Representative Carlos Gimenez says the chaos in Haiti is the worst that he has seen in 60 years and fears that many Haitians will be seeking to flee the chaos too, and head for Florida - any way they can. He also said that the Biden Administration has failed Haiti and its people.

According to CEO Bryan Stern, Project Dynamo is gearing up for "Operation: RUM RUNNER" to evacuate more than two dozen Americans currently unable to leave. Project Dynamo is a non-profit organization lead by veterans. Project Dynamo depends on donations to operate. It uses those funds to facilitate rescues by whatever means necessary; by boat or air. They often step in when and where governments are unable or unwilling to reach.
