The Texans made a trade on the first day of the new league year.
Houston sent defensive tackle Maliek Collins to the San Francisco 49ers in exchange for a seventh-round pick.
The Texans are also giving their new running back an extension. ESPN reports the team and Joe Mixon have agreed to a three-year, 27-million-dollar contract.
Houston traded a seventh-round pick in April's draft to the Bengals on Tuesday for the star back.
The team has also agreed to terms with offensive tackle David Sharpe on a two-year deal.
