Former President Trump spoke in Rome, Georgia this afternoon while his opponent, President Biden spoke in Atlanta, Georgia. Georgia is a key battleground state is expected to be closely contested.
Biden's speech sounded very similar to the State of The Union address that he gave before Congress on Thursday night. His wife Dr. Jill Biden also addressed the crowd while President Biden watched.
Trump touched on many familiar themes during his speech and indicated that he had met with the family and friends of Lakin Riley, the 22 year old Georgia nursing student who was killed by a suspect who had entered the country illegally from Venezuela.
