Texas Cattle Industry Faces Years of Comeback

Hey, got hay?

It's going to take years for Texas beef to stage a comeback.

The Texas cattle industry is suffering severe damage from the wildfires in the Panhandle. Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller says at least 3,600 cows were killed and the number is growing. Miller says more than 500 houses and barns have been destroyed.

The flames are out but torched the grasslands, leaving cattle with nothing to eat.

There's a desperate need for hay to feed the cows that have survived.
