TPPF: Texas Legislative Priorities For 2025

Unless Governor Greg Abbott decides to call -another- special session, the 89th legislative is set to begin in January of 2025.

But that didn't stop the fine folks at the Texas Public Policy Foundation, from releasing their Top 10 list of legislative priorities.

Number One on the list might surprise you. It's putting an end to what is taxpayer funded lobbying. Basically, members of the legislature should not be able to pay these lobbyist's with our tax dollars, especially when they are working hard to go against the will of the people.

"School Choice absolutely will continue to be one of the top issues that we see in session" said Greg Sindelar, CEO of the TPPF, "I think the property tax issue will continue to be one. I think those probably still will continue to be the top two."

You can add to that the border, fixing the grid, and fixing the crime problem in the big blue, Democrat run cities.

"I'm actually optimistic, regardless of what happens in the campaigns" Sindelar told KTRH, "That we will still continue on passing really important things listed here on our Top 10 list, and these are the things that are probably most important to Texans."
But first, we have to wait and see if there will be more -real- Republicans, at the next legislative in Austin.
