True Crime stories are hugely popular - whether its streaming, podcast or broadcast.
Jason Nguyen, Investigative Producer with The Evidence Room on KPRC News2 Houston says that people are so captivated by True Crime stories because they can imagine that the perpetrator is their neighbor or co-worker. Suspense is part of the attraction, as is fear - a powerful emotion.
Nguyen says that Houston is a great place to have a True Crime series like The Evidence Room because there are so many cases that are high profile and that people actually remember.
