With Joe Biden's re-election now in serious jeopardy, Democrats are now getting serious, and nervous, with their calls for the retirements of 2 of the liberal Justices, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan.
"They're looking for ways to save face" said Newsmax platinum reporter, Marisa Herman, "And one of those ways could be securing another Supreme Court nomination and appointment, before Joe Biden is out of office entirely."
The Dems want the pair to step down and not stay too long, like the late Ruth Bader Ginsburg did.
"It would have to happen pretty quickly" Herman told KTRH, "Biden would obviously still have to be the president. The concern with Kagan might be that she's not progressive enough, and the calls have been louder for Sotomayor."
She adds that the Dems are also very much concerned about losing control of the Senate this election as well. Recent poll numbers suggest that they should be concerned.
