Abbott: "We Are Dealing With The Biggest Crisis, Since America Had Borders"

Texas Governor Greg Abbott was joined by Texas House leaders for a border security event in Eagle Pass, Texas.

"We are here to explain to America, that we are dealing with the biggest border crisis since America had borders" Abbott said.

Earlier this week, a bogus border security bill went down to defeat in the Senate. Abbott says he has reached out to Joe Biden 8 times, and has not received one response.

That prompted Texas, and Texas lawmakers to step up, which they have. And Governor Abbott says it is working.

"Now, migrants are choosing to go to states other than Texas, and that's because Texas has put up the resistance that it has" said Abbott, "Early on under the Biden administration, most of the migrants were coming through Texas. That's not true now."

But the crisis continues, and Texas plans to do even more in the months ahead.

"We're working with the Texas National Guard on a strategy to make sure to find ways that we will be able to both add, and accommodate more soldiers being deployed in this area" noted Abbott.
