As the conflict between the federal government and Texas at the southern border grows, many are once again calling for Texas to declare independence. KTRH spoke with the Texas Nationalist Movement's president Daniel Miller, He says this mirrors the BREXIT vote back in 2016.
"One of the biggest drivers for the success of the BREXIT vote was the EU's push for unrestricted mass migration, and their asylum policy."
Miller also said that the Supreme Court's ruling allowing the Biden administration to take down Texas's razor wire is reminiscent of when the Mexican government ordered the town of Gonzales, TX, to return a canon they had been using to defend the town, prompting the Battle of Gonzales, and the famous "come and take it" flag.
According to Miller, independence is the only way to secure the border once and for all. He believes a TEXIT referendum would pass if it made it onto the ballot.
