Disaster Declared in San Jacinto, Montgomery Counties Due to Flooding

The rain is moving out of the Greater Houston area, the damage has already been done.

  • Disasters have been declared in Montgomery and San Jacinto Counties.
  • There are voluntary evacuation orders in effect for Coldspring.
  • There are voluntary evacuation orders in effect for low lying areas in Polk County along the Trinity River under the Lake Livingston Dam.
  • Officials are closely watching the Lake Conroe Dam.
  • Twelve people, five dogs, and a horse had to be rescued by boat yesterday because of flooding from Lake Conroe.
