Move Over AARP – There’s A New Conservative Senior’s Group

Most adults 50 or older have heard of the AARP. But did you know there is conservative competitor to the AARP that is quietly becoming a powerhouse?

The group is AMAC - the Association of Mature American Citizens.

"What we bring to the table is conservative advocacy on behalf of our members, combined with a very robust roster of member benefits" said Andy Mangione, national spokesman for AMAC, "So, you can get all the same kinds of benefits that you get at the other guys."

All of the same benefits, without the liberal political agenda.

"One of the biggest difference between us and AARP is we do tell you that we are a right of center organization up front" Mangione told KTRH, "We do offer a lot of the Medicare insurance products, however we still advocate on health care issues that might or might not affect the relationships that we have with some of these carriers."

AMAC started in 2007, and now has 2.2 million members, at $16 per year.
