In what might be called a 'blue wave', the number of police officers that are quitting the force, is rising at an alarming rate.
It's the blue - leaving the blue cities.
"These Democrat run cities like Washington D.C., New York, Chicago, L.A., San Francisco, and others" said political commentator Silvio Canto Jr., "The policies that they are passing, particularly this soft attitude against criminals, is making the cities unlivable."
And it's making hiring more police almost impossible. Like here in Houston, where the HPD is still short thousands of officers.
"We're still anywhere from 1,500 to 2,000 officers below where we should be" said Doug Griffith, president of the Houston Police Officers Union, "We are having recruiting issues, retention issues, and sadly it's going to get worse before it gets better."
Right now it's not a funding issue, it's a hiring problem.
They both said that Democrat leaders need to stop making the police out as the bad guys, while portraying the criminals as victims.
