The Price Tag Of Biden’s Immigration Policies

It's Thanksgiving week, but there is no holiday at the border where the record number of illegals entering the U.S. continues.

And then there's the price tag. According to a new House report, the Biden border crisis is costing American Taxpayers $451 billion - per year.

"This is money that's being lost in health care, law enforcement, housing, and education" said Melissa Ford, with the Texas Public Policy Foundation, "And it takes into account millions of illegal migrants that have been released to DHS, and then the 1.7 million got-aways that we've had since the Biden administration took office."

But there is a little bit of good news. Texas lawmakers have passed a pair of anti-immigration bills, SB3 and SB4. Two of the toughest anti-immigration laws in the country.

"We're excited about that" Ford told KTRH, "That's going to be a good deterrent to do something about the crisis at the border. The federal government's failure has hurt every Texan and every American that deserves having a safe home, and safe communities for themselves and their families."

The two bills are both set to be signed into law by Governor Greg Abbott. SB4 makes it a crime to cross into Texas illegally, while SB3 allocates $1.5 billion to border security.
