More Than $100B Spent On The Ukraine War – And Counting

As if $100 billion wasn't enough, Joe Biden is seeking an additional $24 billion in aid for Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Senate Republicans are still awaiting the report on how the rest of the money has been spent. A report that was promised back in January!

"We can't be certain that the funds are being allocated as intended, which wouldn't be a surprise" said Robert Greenway with the Heritage Foundation, "The government's got a bad track record of this, most recently in Afghanistan. And so I think that there's been an enormous pressure to request the administration, that we get a firm transparency and accountability established."

Which is much needed, for what appears to be much wasted funding that could have been used here in the U.S.

"This is a significant sum of money" Greenway told KTRH, "This is 1/8 of our overall defense spending, and with the crisis on the southern border and over 100,000 Americans dying from fentanyl related overdose each year, it's not hard to understand why we might be doing more with that money in the United States."

It also a lot more than what was given to FEMA, which is now broke.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy wants Ukraine debated on it's own, while Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell calls it a top priority.
