The ERCOT Weather Watch has been extended through August 11 due to the ongoing forecast of higher temperatures, higher electrical demand, and the potential for lower reserves.
This latest weather watch was supposed to end after today.
Texas set a new record last week for demand, and is expected to set another one this week. Temperatures around the Houston area are forecast to hit triple digits through next Tuesday, August 15th.
ERCOT is expecting grid conditions to remain normal.
