The Biden Administration has waged a war on American energy since he got in to the White House. The White House has done everything in its power to push electric vehicles even though the vast majority of Americans don't want them.
That war, and that push continued today.
The Biden administration has proposed new fuel standards for passenger cars and light trucks which it claims would save Americans hundreds of dollars at the gas pump – but will also drive car prices higher.
The new Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards — unveiled this afternoon by the Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) — requires passenger cars and light trucks to improve fuel efficiency 2% and 4%, respectively, beginning in 2027. Pickup trucks and work vans must boost fuel efficiency 10% every year starting in 2030.
The proposal Friday comes three months after the EPA proposed the most aggressive tailpipe emissions ever, which it said would cause 67% of new sedan, crossover, SUV and light truck purchases to be electric by 2032.
