It's becoming a steady trend for the Democrats. Yet another, liberal blue state is trying to give illegals the right to vote in local elections.
The latest? Massachusetts.
"This is the latest effort among Democrats in the state legislature there" said reporter John Binder, who wrote about it for Breitbart News, "To expand voting rights to foreign nationals that are here on green cards, and temporary works visas. They want to make sure that people are allowed to vote in local elections the minute they arrive in the U.S."
And they make no secret about it, admitting publicly that it is a way to dilute the vote, and shift power. It's all part of the left's radical agenda.
"This is purely a way of consolidating political power, and I think it's part of a long term plan" said Hans Von Spakovsky with the Heritage Foundation, "Progressive's believe that there shouldn't be any distinction between citizens and non-citizens, and this is just another step in that direction."
Some good news: The state supreme court in New York rejected a similar bill, while voters in ultra liberal Portland, Oregon, overwhelmingly voted against the proposal.
However, in Washington D.C. you can vote in local elections after being there for just 30 days.
