The Border Crisis Takes Center Stage In DC

After two years of leaving our Southern border wide open, and allowing what was secured under Donald Trump to become unsecured, the Republican led House Judiciary Committee will finally get to start their first hearing today in D.C.

And first up for (R) Jim Jordan, it's the Biden border crisis.

"These hearings are kind of an art" said Jessica Vaughan, Director of policy with the Center for Immigration Studies, "I've participated in dozens of them myself, and I think that they're going to try to paint a picture for the public of exactly what has gone on. It's really political theater of the highest kind, for changing the laws so that this doesn't happen again."

Not only does it need to not happen again, it needs to stop - now. Over the last two years since Biden took office, there have been more than 5.2 million encounters at the border, and that doesn't include the close to 1 million 'got-aways'.

So what we can expect from Washington?

"They're not only going to deal with the very real crisis" Vaughan told KTRH, "But also hold the Biden administration officials accountable for what they have done, because this is a disaster that was brought about by deliberate policy changes that were designed and implemented by Biden officials."

Meanwhile, the calls continue to impeach the Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas.
