An assault suspect is back in jail after reportedly violating his bond conditions and failing to follow his house arrest orders.
Police arrested 43-year-old Aubrey Taylor last month on charges of aggravated kidnapping and assault of a family member.
The judge released Taylor on a bond of one-dollar. A new state law bans personal recognizance bonds for suspects of violent crime.
Andy Kahan with Crime Stoppers of Houston says the judge evidently opposed the law and responded to it by giving Taylor the low bond.
